No doubt about it, 2024 will be a very intense year. I tend to avoid talking about politics. Too much rage on both sides of the spectrum and, frankly, I’m tired of it.

Problem is I’m an avid history buff. I’ve gone down so many rabbit holes in search of possible historical tie-ins for the next book that I didn’t think about how the book ties in with today's politics. My head is solidly in 2041.

I’m running a few ads, nothing over the top, and some of the conversation has been interesting. The longest conversation on Facebook was about The Fatherhood Mandate and how messed up child support laws are. Needless to say, when this hit my feed, I stopped, took a calming sip of coffee, read it again, and captured a screenshot.

Yup. Our nation’s politics are just a bit too close to The Unborn Child Protection Act mandate. That doesn’t mean I’m going to stop writing. Nope. It just means that I may have to rework my historical background a bit so that it makes sense in the post-election chaos.
